PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty
Do you always know where you are going during a dive? Perhaps your experience so far has been with guided dives on holiday and now you want to become more independent? It may be that, even on guided dives, you would feel more comfortable if you knew where you were?
This course covers core skills for independent divers and those diving in low visibility conditions. The benefits of doing this course are great, but it is also a lot of fun.
You will learn the tools and techniques you need to always know where you are going.

This is covered in 3 dives where you will learn:
- Methods to estimate distance underwater.
- Compass navigation while making at least five turns.
- Marking or relocating a submerged object or position from the surface.
- Underwater map making.

The first dive of this PADI Specialty Diver course may credit as an Adventure Dive for your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
If you’re a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver who is at least 10 years old, you can enroll in the PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course.
